May the thoughts of the horse-pairing rites not part the young herds nor drive away the bulls and kine. May the speech of birth not bring wives who are unpleasant, nor men who are hostile.

For our minds, yoked together like horses tend to the ever youthful Indra, as cows to their calves; and the praises of men, (addressed) to him, are genitive rating most fragrant (fruit), as wives bear (children to their husbands).

Him too our hymns delight, that yoke swift horses, like mother cows who lick their tender youngling. To him our songs shall yield themselves like spouses, to him the most delightful of the Heroes.
