na ghā rājendra ā dabhanno yā nu svasārā kṛṇavanta yonau āpaścidasmai sutukā aveṣangamanna indraḥ sakhyā vayaśca
O Indra, you did not let the king be struck down; you made the two wombs (wives) fruitful. Indra, protector, you joined them, and became the friend of the sons.
Let not the royal Indra frustrate those our actions, which the sisters, (Day and Night), are directing to their object. May these invigorating offerings propitiate hi, so that he may bestow upon us friendly (regard), and (abundant) food.
Let not the Sovran Indra disappoint us in what shall bring both Sisters to our dwelling. To him have run the quickly flowing waters.May Indra come to us with life and friendship.
