o suṣṭuta indra yāhyarvāṅupa brahmāṇi mānyasya kāroḥ vidyāma vastoravasā gṛṇanto vidyāmeṣaṃ vṛjanaṃ jīradānum
Praise him, O Indra, invoked with the chant; do not slight the doer of rites. Wealth, fame and the dwellings proclaim this, O Indra — I seek this bounty, the moving herd, with life‑giving thought.
Glorified by us, Indra, come to (our) presence to accept the prayers of the venerable offerer (of the oblation); so that we may ever enjoy prosperity through your protection, and thence obtain food, strength and long life.
Come to us, Indra, come thou highly lauded to the devotions of the singer Mana. Singing, may we find early through thy succour, may we find strengthening food in full abundance.
