tvaṃ rājendra ye ca devā rakṣā nṝnpāhyasura tvamasmān tvaṃ satpatirmaghavā nastarutrastvaṃ satyo vasavānaḥ sahodāḥ
Thou art king Indra, thou who protectest gods and men; drive away the Asuras from us. Thou art the good lord, generous, destroyer of foes; thou art truth, the Vasus' brother.
You, Indra, are king; they who are gods (are subject) to you; therefore, scatterer (of foes), do you protect and cherish us men; you are the protector of the good, the possessor of wealth, the extricator of us (from sin); you are true, the invester (of all with your lustre) the giver of strength.
THOU art the King of all the Gods, O Indra: protect the men, O Asura, preserve us. Thou Lord of Heroes, Maghavan, our saver, art faithful, very rich, the victory-giver.
