bhūri cakartha yujyebhirasme samānebhirvṛṣabha pauṃsyebhiḥ bhūrīṇi hi kṛṇavāmā śaviṣṭhendra kratvā maruto yadvaśāma
They made abundant offerings for me with harnessed bulls, equally with cows and milch-herds. With mighty deeds we acquired abundant spoils—Indra made the best portion of the sacrifice ours.
(The Maruts): Showerer (of benefits), you have done much; but it has been without united equal energies; for we, too, most powerful Indra, have done many things, and by our deeds (we are, as) we desire to be, Maruts.
Yea, much hast thou achieved with us for comrades, with manly valour like thine own, thou Hero. Much may we too achieve, O mightiest Indra, with our great power, we Maruts, when we will it.
