Show me the divine, great-winged air, the womb of waters, the sight of herbs. I call upon the abundant rain-bringing one who refreshes, Sarasvati—pour, I invoke you here into the meadow.
I invoke for our protection the celestial, well-winged, swift-moving, majestic (Sun); who is the germ of the waters; the displayer of herbs; the cherisher of lakes replenishing the ponds with rain.
The Bird Celestial, vast with noble pinion, the lovely germ of plants, the germ of waters, Him who delighteth us with rain in season, Sarasvan I invoke that he may help us.
