By day they go, the Maruts, the Earth, this Agni, the wind goes through the mid-air. Varuna comes wondrously with the seas desiring you for the breath and life.
Sons of Strength, the Maruts, desirous of your coming, advance from the sky; Agni comes (to meet you) from the earth; the wind traverses the firmament; and Varuṇa comes with undulating waters.
The Maruts move in heaven, on earth this Agni; through the mid-firmament the Wind approaches. Varuna comes in the sea's gathered waters, O Sons of Strength, desirous of your presence.
