Thou, Agni, art sovereign of divine might; thou art as ruler of earthly cattle by thyself. These great ones of wealth, praising, have spread glory, the golden-voiced ones, filling the outer realm.
You, Agni, reign over (the dweller in) heaven, and over those of earth, according to thine own (will), as a herdsman over his (herd), and those two, (heaven and earth), bright, vast, adorable, beneficent, and sounding (agreeably), partake of the oblation.
For, Agni, like a herdsman, thou by thine own might rulest o'er all that is in heaven and on the earth; And these two Mighty Ones, bright, golden closely joined, rolling them round are come unto thy sacred grass.
