O Angiras, former to me is the curd and clarified butter, Kañva is my beloved; Manu knew them before me. In those gods there is no fear for us; by their feet may the great ones grant me praise—O Indra, O Agni, accept my praise.
The ancient Dadhyañc, Aṅgiras, Priyamedha, Kaṇva, Atri, Manu, have known my birth; they who were of old and Manu have known (my progenitors); for of them is long life amongst the gods, and in them is our existence; for the sake of their nigh station, I adore (the gods) with praise; I worship Indra and Agni with praise.
Dadhyac of old, Anigiras, Priyamedha these, and Kanva, Atri, Manu knew my birth, yea, tbose of ancient days and Manu knew. Their long line stretcheth to the Gods, our birth-connexions are with them. To these, for their high station, 1 bow down with song, to Indra, Agni, bow with song.
