tāṃ vāṃ dhenuṃ na vāsarīmaṃśuṃ duhantyadribhiḥ somaṃ duhantyadribhiḥ asmatrā gantamupa no'rvāñcā somapītaye ayaṃ vāṃ mitrāvaruṇā nṛbhiḥ sutaḥ soma ā pītaye sutaḥ
Those cows milk not this day for mere dwellers; the mountains milk Soma with their streams. Come to us, O radiant ones, for Soma-drinking. This one, Mitra-Varuna’s, is gifted to men: Soma for drinking, Soma for the drinkers.
They milk for you two with stones, that succulent creeper, like a productive cow; they milk the Soma with stones; come to us as our protectors; be present with us to drink the Soma; thos Soma has been effused, Mitra and Varuṇa, for you both; effused for your drinking.
As 'twere a radiant-coloured cow, they milk with stones the stalk for you, with stones they milk the Soma-plant. May ye come nigh us, may ye turn hither to drink the Soma juice. The men pressed out this juice, Mitra and Varuna, pressed out this Soma for your drink.
