May he who calls on you, O Swift‑striding Wind, carry forth the praise for the ancient draughts of Soma. May the mind that knows rise upward at your command. Lead forth the chariot, go to the contest; O Wind, to the mouth of the herd in the contest.
Let your swift coursers, Vāyu, bring you quickly hither, that you may be the first to drink; the first (of the gods) to drink of the Soma. May our appraised, discriminating, and sincere (praise) be acceptable to your mind; come with your steed-yoked car for (the libation) to be presented to you; come, Vāyu, for granting (the objects of worship).
Vayu, let fleet-foot coursers bring thee speedily to this our feast, to drink first of the juice we pour, to the first draught of Soma juice. May our glad hymn, discerning well, uplifted, gratify thy mind. Come with thy team-drawn car, O Vayu, to the gift, come to the sacrificer's gift.
