ṛtasya raśmimanuyacchamānā bhadrambhadraṃ kratumasmāsu dhehi uṣo no adya suhavā vyucchāsmāsu rāyo maghavatsu ca syuḥ
May the sun's rays, following the path of order, grant auspiciousness and benign power to our rites. Dawn today is our comrade; may wealth and gifts rise among us.
Co-operating with the rays of the true (sun), confirm in us every propitious act; earnestly invoked byus today, disperse, Uṣā, (the darkness), that wealth may devolve upon us, (already) affluent (in sacrificial treasures).
Obedient to the rein of Law Eternal give us each thought that more and more shall bless us. Shine thou on us to-day, Dawn, swift to listen. With us be riches and with chiefs who worship.
