You gave the white steed with Indra’s renown, a great‑minded horse, O Ashvins. The holy singer (johūtra) overcame the mighty strength; with thousands, O bulls, you struck the hostile flank.
You gave to Pedu, Aśvins, the white and foe-trampling steed which you had received from Indra, loud-neighing (in battle), defying enemies, high-spirited, the acquirer of a thousand tresures, vigorous, and firm in body.
A white horse, Asvins, ye bestowed on Pedu, a serpent-slaying steed sent down by Indra, Loud-neighing, conquering the foe, highmettled, firm-limbed and vigorous, winning thousand treasures.
