We proclaim thee, Rudra, the sacrificial healer; we call the seer who speaks the verse. May this our godhead come forth; choose for us the good counsel, O Two-minded One.
We invoke for our preservation the illustrious Rudra, the accomplisher of sacrifices, the tortuous, the wise; may he remove far from us his celestial wrath, for we earnestly solicit his favour.
Hither we call for aid the wise, the wanderer, impetuous Rudra, perfecter of sacri fice. May he repel from us the anger of the Gods: verily we desire his favourable grace.
