Those ancient mortals who first beheld and manifested this Dawn—attentive to us, they proceed before us; those who see beyond come to them.
Those mortals who beheld the pristine Uṣās dawning have passed away; to us she is now visible, and they approach who may behold her in after times.
Gone are the men who in the days before us looked on the rising of the earlier Morning. We, we the living, now behold her brightness and they come nigh who shall hereafter see her.
