bṛhaspate sadaminnaḥ sugaṃ kṛdhi śaṃ yoryatte manurhitaṃ tadīmahe rathaṃ na durgādvasavaḥ sudānavo viśvasmānno aṃhaso niṣpipartana
O Bṛhaspati, fashion for us a fitting dwelling, be gracious to what the two gods grant; let that which is rightly desired by men be ours. The Vasus and Sudhanvas made the chariot not hard to move; may they remove from us the assault of the foe and the peril of breath.
Bṛhaspati, always confer happiness upon us, we solicit that faculty of both (alleviating pain and obvitaing peril) implanted in you by Manu; may they, who are bountiful and the givers of dwellings extricate us from all sins, as a chariot from a defile.
Brhaspati, make us evermore an easy path: we crave what boon thou hast for men in rest and stir. Like as a chariot from a difficult ravine, bountiful Vasus, rescue us from all distress.
