Whoever sees not the law of right, who does not know the seat of the thief and the house — may he not steal our wealth; may he not cast down our splendid gifts; grant us abundance.
Since the track that leads to the dwelling of the Dasyu has been seen by us, as a cow knows the way to her stall, therefore do you, Maghavan, (defend us) from his repeated violence; do not you cast away as a libertine throws away wealth.
Soon as this Dasyu's traces were discovered, as she who knows her home, he sought the dwelling. Now think thou of us, Maghavan, nor cast us away as doth a profligate his treasure.
