(Thereupon) the greatly powerful Dhaumya destroyed in the presence of the sons of Pandu, the fearful Rakshasas illusion by applying various Mantras calculated to destroy the Rakshasass. Seeing his illusion destroyed, that Rakshasas of crooked ways, who was capable of assuming any form at will, expanded his eyes in anger and he appeared like Death himself.
