संवत्सरेण मासाशी पूयते नात्र संशयः। तथैवोपवसन् राजन् स्वल्पेनापि प्रपूयते॥ क्रतुना चाश्वमेधेन पूयते नात्र संशयः। ये चाप्यवभृथस्नाताः केचिदेवंविधा नराः॥ ते सर्वे धूतपाप्मानो भवन्तीति परा श्रुतिः। ब्राह्मणार्थे हतो युद्धे मुच्यते ब्रह्महत्यया॥
