The king said: The curse of the sages shall not be otherwise. Nor should the boon granted by me to the king for his protection. A glorious and virtuous king Daśaratha will be born.[15] as the famous son of the great-grandson of the son of Ambarīṣa. I will be born as his eldest son Rāma. There my right hand will be Bharata. Śatrughna will be my left hand. This Śeṣa will be born as Lakṣmaṇa. There you come to me. Now you leave the king alone: you leave off the excellent sages also”, so said Viṣṇu.
