Sūta said: By means of a thousand times japas, fever is dispelled. If a devotee performs a thousand Homas thrice a day with milk and continues this for a month, he attains excellent good fortune within a mouth. If a devotee performs Homa with the mixture of honey, ghee and curds for a year, he achieves Siddhis. If Homa is performed by means of barley, milk and ghee or good rice, lord Aghora is delighted.
