Sanatkumāra said: May a great secret be heard. Over the Vedikā a mystic diagram shall be drawn with the auspicious materials eight in number bedecked with the auspicious tender sprouts and scattered with flowers and fruits. Incense and lights shall also be used. It shall be as refulgent as the surface of a mirror. The Maṇḍala shall be drawn in the middle of the altar.
