Sūta said: By repeating this hymn a man. obtains many times the merit of visiting holy centres, and doing Ājñās, giving charitable gifts and performing the vratas in particular. The slayer of cows, the ungrateful wretch, the murderer of heroes, brahmins, mother and father, the slayer of those who seek refuge, the sinner who is guilty of breach of faith towards friends, all these wretched men dispel their sins and are honoured in the world of Śiva.
