The defiler of a preceptor’s bed should perform the expiatory rite of a slayer of a Brahmana for the purpose of purification; or he should lie on the ground for a year embracing the thorny branch of any tree with mental purity. The defiler of the preceptor’s bed is then absolved of the sin. Or the Brahmana should wear bark-garments and with great concen¬ tration, he should perform the Krcchra rite for a year.
