By those who seek benefits, the Lord was well worshipped with whatever fruits and medicinal herbs were available (to them). He (that God) is called Tryambaka as in times of (impending?) extinction of medicinal herbs etc., sacrifice is offered to him by sages with three Kāpālas (plates or potsherds containing) of cakes sacred to him (Rudra).
