Sūta narrated: Through concentration of mind, I shall describe to you the excellent creation of Bhūtas. Avyakta (the unmanifest one) which is of the nature of Sat and Asat (Existent and nonexistent) is the eternal cause. Persons who discuss and ponder over the Principles (reality) call it Pradhāna and Prakṛti. It is devoid of odour, colour and taste; it is without the qualities of sound and touch.
