If the planets (graha) occupy malefic places, a person will lose his importance i.e . become light just in the same way as the 5 th letter of all the four feet and 7 th letter of the 2 nd and 4 th feet become short—these restrictions apply to the Anuṣṭupa metre (in which this stanza is written.)
