The most excellent hour for marriage (vivāha) is the hour in the evening when cows are being driven home, and the sky is covered with dust raised by their hoofs striking against the ground while running. The married woman will get wealth, health and sons and will be prosperous. This hour is known as Godhūli Lagna . In the case of such hour, the character of the Nakṣatra , the tithi , the yoga , the karaṇa , or the lagna need not be considered. Such an hour will make a person happy and prosperous.
