Marriages shall take place when the Moon passes through the asterism of Rohiṇī , Uttaraphālguni , Uttarāṣāḍha , Uttarabhādrapada , Revatī , Mṛgaśīrṣa , Mūla , Anurādhā , Maghā , Hasta or Svāti ; when the rising sign is Vigro, Libra or Gemini; when the benefic planets occupy other than the 7 th , 8 th and 12 th houses, when the Moon occupies, the 2 nd , 3 rd or 11 th house; when the malefic planets occupy, the 3 rd , 6 th , 8 th and 11 th houses; when Venus does not occupy the 6 th house and when Mars does not occupy the 8 th house; and when the rising sign is other than the 2 nd , 9 th , or 8 th house from the lagna in the horoscope of the bridegroom or the bride; when at the time the course of the Sun is benefic; when the Moon does not occupy the same sign with the Sun, Mars, Saturn or Venus; or when she is between two malefic planets; when the Yoga is neither the Vyatipāta nor that of Vaidhṛti ; when the Karaṇa is other than Viṣṭi ; when the lunar day is other than a Rikta one; when the week day is other than that of a malefic planet; when the Ayana is other than the Dakṣiṇāyana ; when the month is other than that of Caitra or Pauṣa and when the rising Navāṃśa is a human Navāṃśa.
