The constellations (nakṣatra) of Pūrvaphālguni, Pūrvāṣāḍha, Pūrvabhādrapada, Bharaṇī and Maghā are known as (Uggra) severe asterisms. Acts of disgrace, destruction, deceit, imprisonment, poison, burning, beating with weapons and the like shall be done when the Moon passes through the severe asterisms.
