In the case of the people inhabiting the eastern countries, the crow ( vāyasa ) on the right side indicates good luck; but the crow of the crane kind indicates prosperity when on the left side. In other countries, the case is otherwise. The limits of provinces shall be learnt from a general knowledge of the country.
