Mix together any three out of the nine substances, Lodhra , Uśīra, Nata , Aguru , Musta, Patra, Priyaṅgu, Vana and Patthya. Add to the mixture one part of Sandal, one part of Taruṣka, half a part of Nakha and a quarter part of Śatapuṣpa; expose the mixture to the smoke of Kaṭuka , Hiṅgula and Guḍa; we thus get 84 different varieties of mixtures.
