For the purpose of house-building (vāstu-vidyā) other trees shall be cut down than those in which birds reside, or that are broken or have dried or are burnt, or in which the Devas live or which grow on cremation grounds, as well as milky trees, the Dhava , the Vibhītaka , the margosa and the Araṇi .
