The Ṛṣis shall be honoured by the recitation of the Sāma mantras , Yajur mantras , Ṛk mantras , and with sandal paste, scented smoke and flower wreathes. The Nāga Devas shall be honoured by the recitation of the Aśleṣaka Varṇas , and by the offer of sugar, honey and ghee .
