If in the Śarat (October and November) the wives of the Devas, oṛ the Demons, the Gandharvas or the vehicles of the Devas, should appear in the sky, or if during the day the planets, the constellations, or any of the stars should become visible; or if music, vocal or instrumental, should be heard in forests or on hills, or if crops should thrive or water decrease in quantity, there would be no cause for fear.
