On the 12 th lunar day ruling the asterism Śravaṇa or any other asterism, the Banner should be raised and erected, after honouring the Brāhmaṇas with jaggery, sweet-meats, milk porridge and such other dishes as well as with dakṣiṇās (gifts of money).
