We shall now proceed to state the laws or yogas (positions of the planets) as stated by Bādarāyaṇa ( Vyāsa ) (from which to determine the growth of the Grīṣma or Śarat crops) when the Sun just enters the sign of Vṛścika (Scorpio) or the sign Vṛṣabha (Taurus).
