If Venus should pass through the constellation of Pūrvaphalgunī , hill men and the people of Pulinda will perish and there will be abundance of rain; if she should pass through the constellation of Uttaraphalgunī , the people of Kuru , of Jāṅgala and of Pāñcāla will perish, and there will also be rain.
