Divide J (Jupiter’s years) by 12 and multiply the remainder by 9 and divide the product by 4; the quotient will represent the number of Nakṣatras, calculated from Dhaniṣṭhā , passed over by Mean Jupiter and the remainder the number of Navāhas passed over by him in the next Nakṣatra .
