devyuvAca ॥ kathitaM tu tvayA deva kAlajJAnaM yathArthataH ॥ kAlasya vaMcanaM brUhi yathA tattvena yoginaH ॥ 1 ॥
The goddess said:— O lord, the perfect knowledge of Kāla has been mentioned by you. Now please mention the dodging of Kāla by a Yogin, factually.

कालस्तु सन्निकृष्टो हि वर्तते सर्वजंतुषु ॥ यथा चास्य न मृत्युश्च वंचते कालमागतम् ॥ २ ॥
kAlastu sannikRSTo hi vartate sarvajaMtuSu ॥ yathA cAsya na mRtyuzca vaMcate kAlamAgatam ॥ 2 ॥
Time, however, is imminent for all living beings. And so that he does not escape death and the time has come.

tathA kathaya me deva prItiM kRtvA mamopari ॥ yoginAM ca hitAya tvaM brUhi sarvasukhaprada ॥ 3 ॥
Please tell me so, O Lord, and please me. And for the benefit of the yogis, O bestower of all happiness, tell me.

॥ zaMkara uvAca ॥ zRNu devi pravakSyAmi pRSTohaM yattvayA zive ॥ samAsena ca sarveSAM mAnuSANAM hitArthataH ॥ 4 ॥
Śiva said:— O Goddess Śivā listen. I shall explain briefly what I have been asked by you for the benefit of all men.

पृथिव्यापस्तथा तेजो वायुराकाशमेव च ॥ एतेषां हि समायोगः शरीरं पांचभौतिकम् ॥ ५ ॥
pRthivyApastathA tejo vAyurAkAzameva ca ॥ eteSAM hi samAyogaH zarIraM pAMcabhautikam ॥ 5 ॥
The body is a conglomeration of earth, water, fire, wind and ether. It consists of five elements.

आकाशस्तु ततो व्यापी सर्वेषां सर्वगः स्थितः॥ आकाशे तु विलीयंते संभवंति पुनस्ततः ॥ ६ ॥
AkAzastu tato vyApI sarveSAM sarvagaH sthitaH॥ AkAze tu vilIyaMte saMbhavaMti punastataH ॥ 6 ॥
The ether is all-pervasive. The elements merge in ether and are reborn therefrom.

वियोगे तु सदा कस्य स्वं धाम प्रतिपेदिरे ॥ तस्या स्थिरता चास्ति सन्निपातस्य सुंदरि ॥ ७ ॥
viyoge tu sadA kasya svaM dhAma pratipedire ॥ tasyA sthiratA cAsti sannipAtasya suMdari ॥ 7 ॥
When the ether is disintegrated the elements resort to their causes. O beautiful woman, there is no stability for this conglomeration.

ज्ञानिनोऽपि तथा तत्र तपोमंत्रबलादपि ॥ ते सर्वे सुविजानंति सर्वमेतन्न संशयः ॥ ८॥
jJAnino'pi tathA tatra tapomaMtrabalAdapi ॥ te sarve suvijAnaMti sarvametanna saMzayaH ॥ 8॥
There is no doubt that the wise know all this perfectly through the power of austerity and mantras.

देव्युवाच ॥ खं तेन यन्नश्यति घोररूपः कालः करालस्त्रिदिवैकनाथः ॥ दग्धस्त्वया त्वं पुनरेव तुष्टः स्तोत्रै स्तुतः स्वां प्रकृतिं स लेभे ॥ ९॥
devyuvAca ॥ khaM tena yannazyati ghorarUpaH kAlaH karAlastridivaikanAthaH ॥ dagdhastvayA tvaM punareva tuSTaH stotrai stutaH svAM prakRtiM sa lebhe ॥ 9॥
The goddess said:— Kāla of terrible form, the awful sole lord of the gods, perishes while taking them to the Ether. He was burnt by you. When eulogised you were pleased and then you revived him to life.

त्वया स चोक्तः कथया जनानामदृष्टरूपः प्रचरिष्यसीति ॥ दृष्टस्त्वया तत्र महाप्रभावः प्रभोर्वरात्ते पुनरुत्थितश्च॥ १०॥
tvayA sa coktaH kathayA janAnAmadRSTarUpaH pracariSyasIti ॥ dRSTastvayA tatra mahAprabhAvaH prabhorvarAtte punarutthitazca॥ 10॥
Kāla was addressed by you. “In the talk of the people you will be moving about in the invisible form.” He of great power was seen by you there. By means of the boon granted by you he was reborn.

तदद्य भोः काल इहास्थि किंचिन्निहन्यते येन वदस्व तन्मे ॥ त्वं योगिवर्यः प्रभुरात्मतंत्रः परोपकारात्ततनुर्महेश ॥ ११ ॥
tadadya bhoH kAla ihAsthi kiMcinnihanyate yena vadasva tanme ॥ tvaM yogivaryaH prabhurAtmataMtraH paropakArAttatanurmaheza ॥ 11 ॥
Hence there is Kāla here. Something is killed by him. Please mention that to me. You are the foremost among Yogins. You are self-controlled lord. O lord Śiva, you take up physical bodies for helping others.

शंकर उवाच ॥ न हन्यते देववरैस्तु दैत्यैस्सयक्षरक्षोरगमानुषैश्च ॥ ये योगिनो ध्यानपरास्सदेहा भवंति ते घ्नंति सुखेन कालम् ॥ १२॥
zaMkara uvAca ॥ na hanyate devavaraistu daityaissayakSarakSoragamAnuSaizca ॥ ye yogino dhyAnaparAssadehA bhavaMti te ghnaMti sukhena kAlam ॥ 12॥
Śiva said:— Kāla is not killed by the leading gods, Daityas, Yakṣas, Rākṣasas, serpents and human beings. But those embodied beings who are Yogins engrossed in meditation can easily kill Kāla.

सनत्कुमार उवाच ॥ एतच्छ्रुत्वा त्रिभुवनगुरोः प्राह गौरी विहस्य सत्यं त्वं मे वद कथमसौ हन्यते येन कालः ॥ शम्भुस्तामाह सद्यो हि मकरवदने योगिनो ये क्षिपंति कालव्यालं सकलमनघास्तच्छृणुष्वैकचित्ता ॥ १३ ॥
sanatkumAra uvAca ॥ etacchrutvA tribhuvanaguroH prAha gaurI vihasya satyaM tvaM me vada kathamasau hanyate yena kAlaH ॥ zambhustAmAha sadyo hi makaravadane yogino ye kSipaMti kAlavyAlaM sakalamanaghAstacchRNuSvaikacittA ॥ 13 ॥
Sanatkumāra said:— On hearing this from Śiva, the preceptor of the three worlds, Gaurī laughed and said “Please tell me the truth. How is this Kāla killed? By whom is it killed? Śiva told her immediately “O moon-faced lady, those who are sinless Yogins hurl the serpent Kāla entirely. Listen to that with concentration.”

शङ्कर उवाच ॥ पंचभूतात्मको देहस्सदायुक्तस्तु तद्गुणैः ॥ उत्पाद्यते वरारोहे तद्विलीनो हि पार्थिवः ॥ १४ ॥
zaGkara uvAca ॥ paMcabhUtAtmako dehassadAyuktastu tadguNaiH ॥ utpAdyate varArohe tadvilIno hi pArthivaH ॥ 14 ॥
Śiva said:— O beautiful lady, the physical body consists of five elements. It arises from them and merges in them. It is always endowed with their attributes.

आकाशाज्जायते वायुर्वायोस्तेजश्च जायते ॥ तेजसोऽम्बु विनिर्द्दिष्टं तस्माद्धि पृथिवी भवेत् ॥ १५ ॥
AkAzAjjAyate vAyurvAyostejazca jAyate ॥ tejaso'mbu vinirddiSTaM tasmAddhi pRthivI bhavet ॥ 15 ॥
From the ether the wind is produced. From the wind, fire is generated. Water is said to be produced from fire and from it the earth comes out.

पृथिव्यादीनि भूतानि गच्छंति क्रमशः परम् ॥ धरा पंचगुणा प्रोक्ता ह्यापश्चैव चतुर्गुणाः ॥ १६ ॥
pRthivyAdIni bhUtAni gacchaMti kramazaH param ॥ dharA paMcaguNA proktA hyApazcaiva caturguNAH ॥ 16 ॥
The earth and other beings gradually move to the next. The earth is said to be five times greater and the water four times greater.

त्रिगुणं च तथा तेजो वायुर्द्विगुण एव च ॥ शब्दैकगुणमाकाशं पृथिव्यादिषु कीर्तितम् ॥ १७ ॥
triguNaM ca tathA tejo vAyurdviguNa eva ca ॥ zabdaikaguNamAkAzaM pRthivyAdiSu kIrtitam ॥ 17 ॥
Three times as much as the effulgence and twice as much as the air The sky is described as the one quality of sound in the earth and other things.

शब्दस्स्पर्शश्च रूपं च रसो गन्धश्च पंचमः ॥ विजहाति गुणं स्वं स्वं तदा भूतं विपद्यते ॥ १८ ॥
zabdassparzazca rUpaM ca raso gandhazca paMcamaH ॥ vijahAti guNaM svaM svaM tadA bhUtaM vipadyate ॥ 18 ॥
The five attributes are sound, touch, colour, taste and smell. When it is relieved of its attributes the element perishes.

तदा गुणं विगृह्णाति प्रादुर्भूतं तदुच्यते ॥ एवं जानीहि देवेशि पंचभूतानि तत्त्वतः ॥ १९ ॥
tadA guNaM vigRhNAti prAdurbhUtaM taducyate ॥ evaM jAnIhi devezi paMcabhUtAni tattvataH ॥ 19 ॥
When it takes up the attributes the element manifests itself. O goddess, know thus all the elements factually.

तस्माद्धि योगिना नित्यं स्वस्वकालेंऽशजा गुणाः ॥ चिंतनीयाः प्रयत्नेन देवि कालजिगीषुणा ॥ २०॥
tasmAddhi yoginA nityaM svasvakAleM'zajA guNAH ॥ ciMtanIyAH prayatnena devi kAlajigISuNA ॥ 20॥
Hence O goddess, the partial attributes shall be thought of by the Yogin assiduously if he is desirous of conquering Kāla.

देव्युवाच ॥ कथं जेजीय्यते कालो योगिभिर्योगवित्प्रभो ॥ ध्यानेन चाथ मन्त्रेण तत्सर्वं कथयस्व मे ॥ २१॥
devyuvAca ॥ kathaM jejIyyate kAlo yogibhiryogavitprabho ॥ dhyAnena cAtha mantreNa tatsarvaM kathayasva me ॥ 21॥
The goddess said:— O lord of the knowers of Yoga, how is Kāla wished to be conquered by the Yogins? Is it by meditation or incantations? Please mention everything to me.

शङ्कर उवाच॥ शृणु देवि प्रवक्ष्यामि योगिनां हितकाम्यया ॥ परज्ञानप्रकथनं न देयं यस्य कस्यचित् ॥ २२॥
zaGkara uvAca॥ zRNu devi pravakSyAmi yoginAM hitakAmyayA ॥ parajJAnaprakathanaM na deyaM yasya kasyacit ॥ 22॥
Śiva said:— O goddess, listen. I shall explain it for the benefit of the Yogins. The perfect knowledge shall not be imparted to anyone and everyone.

श्रद्दधानाय दातव्यं भक्तियुक्ताय धीमते ॥ अनास्तिकाय शुद्धाय धर्मनित्याय भामिनि ॥ २३॥
zraddadhAnAya dAtavyaM bhaktiyuktAya dhImate ॥ anAstikAya zuddhAya dharmanityAya bhAmini ॥ 23॥
O fair lady, it is to be imparted to the faithful, to the intelligent, to one who is endowed with devotion, to the pious who is not an atheist and to oie who is always virtuous.

सुश्वासेन सुशय्यायां योगं युंजीत योगवित् ॥ दीपं विनांधकारे तु प्रजाः सुप्तेषु धारयेत् ॥ २४॥
suzvAsena suzayyAyAM yogaM yuMjIta yogavit ॥ dIpaM vinAMdhakAre tu prajAH supteSu dhArayet ॥ 24॥
The knower of Yoga shall practise it taking breath normally sitting on a good bed. If he practises in darkness he shall not keep any lamp. He shall practise when people are asleep.

tarjanyA pihitau karNau pIDayitvA muhUrttakam॥ tasmAtsaMzrUyate zabdastudanvahnisamudbhavaH ॥ 25 ॥
When the ears are closed with the index finger for a short while a kind of sound is heard as that of a blazing fire.

sandhyAto bhuktamevaM hi cAvasannaM kSaNAdapi ॥ sarvarogAnnihatyAzu jvaropadravakAnbahUn ॥ 26 ॥
The practice of Yoga quells all ailments, fevers and many other distressing ills.

yazcopalakSayennityairAkAraM ghaTikAdvayam॥ jitvA mRtyuM tathA kAmaM svecchayA paryyaTediha ॥ 27॥
He who visualises the form of death for two Ghaṭikās conquers death and lust and can roam about as he pleases.

सर्वज्ञस्सर्वदर्शी च सर्वसिद्धिमवाप्नुयात्॥ यथा नदति खेऽब्दो हि प्रावृडद्भिस्सुसंयतः ॥ २८॥
sarvajJassarvadarzI ca sarvasiddhimavApnuyAt॥ yathA nadati khe'bdo hi prAvRDadbhissusaMyataH ॥ 28॥
He who knows everything and sees everything attains all perfection. Just as the year roars in the sky, it is well controlled by the rainy season.

तं श्रुत्वा मुच्यते योगी सद्यः संसारबन्धनात्॥ ततस्स योगिभिर्न्नित्यं सूक्ष्मात्सूक्ष्मतरो भवेत्॥ २९॥
taM zrutvA mucyate yogI sadyaH saMsArabandhanAt॥ tatassa yogibhirnnityaM sUkSmAtsUkSmataro bhavet॥ 29॥
Hearing Him the Yogi is immediately liberated from the bondage of this world. Then he becomes ever more subtle than the subtle by the Yogis.

एष ते कथितो देवि शब्दब्रह्मविधिक्रमः ॥ पलालमिव धान्यार्थी त्यजेद्बन्धमशेषतः॥ ३०॥
eSa te kathito devi zabdabrahmavidhikramaH ॥ palAlamiva dhAnyArthI tyajedbandhamazeSataH॥ 30॥
O Goddess; thus the order and procedure of the meditation of Śabdabrahman has been narrated to you. Just as the seeker of grains eschews husks, he shall eschew bondage.

शब्दब्रह्मत्विदं प्राप्य ये केचिदन्यकांक्षिणः ॥ घ्नंति ते मुष्टिनाकाशं कामयंते क्षुधां तृषाम् ॥ ३१॥
zabdabrahmatvidaM prApya ye kecidanyakAMkSiNaH ॥ ghnaMti te muSTinAkAzaM kAmayaMte kSudhAM tRSAm ॥ 31॥
If after attaining the Śabdabrahman he were to aspire for other things he will be hitting the sky with his fist, he will be loving hunger and thirst.

ज्ञात्वा परमिदं ब्रह्म सुखदं मुक्तिकारणम्॥ अवाह्यमक्षरं चैव सर्वोपाधिविवर्जितम् ॥ ३२ ॥
jJAtvA paramidaM brahma sukhadaM muktikAraNam॥ avAhyamakSaraM caiva sarvopAdhivivarjitam ॥ 32 ॥
After knowing the great Brahman, the cause of salvation, the bestower of happiness, the non-external, the imperishable, freed from all limitations, nothing else need be aspired after.

मोहिताः कालपाशेन मृत्युपाशवशंगताः ॥ शब्दब्रह्म न जानंति पापिनस्ते कुबुद्धयः॥ ३३॥
mohitAH kAlapAzena mRtyupAzavazaMgatAH ॥ zabdabrahma na jAnaMti pApinaste kubuddhayaH॥ 33॥
Sinners of crooked intellect deluded by the noose of Kāla, fastened into death’s bondage do not realise Śabdabrahman.

तावद्भवंति संसारे यावद्धाम न विंदते ॥ विदिते तु परे तत्त्वे मुच्यते जन्मबन्धनात् ॥ ३४॥
tAvadbhavaMti saMsAre yAvaddhAma na viMdate ॥ vidite tu pare tattve mucyate janmabandhanAt ॥ 34॥
One remains in the world as long as he has not obtained the supreme abode. When the great reality is understood he is released from the bondage of life.

निद्रालस्यं महा विघ्नं जित्वा शत्रुं प्रयत्नतः॥ सुखासने स्थितो नित्यं शब्दब्रह्माभ्यसन्निति ॥ ३५॥
nidrAlasyaM mahA vighnaM jitvA zatruM prayatnataH॥ sukhAsane sthito nityaM zabdabrahmAbhyasanniti ॥ 35॥
Laziness of sleep is a great obstacle to conquering the enemy with great effort Sitting in a comfortable seat, he is always practicing the Brahman of sound.

शतवृद्धः पुमांल्लब्ध्वा यावदायुस्समभ्यसेत् ॥ मृत्युञ्जयवपुस्तम्भ आरोग्यं वायुवर्द्धनम् ॥ ३६॥
zatavRddhaH pumAMllabdhvA yAvadAyussamabhyaset ॥ mRtyuJjayavapustambha ArogyaM vAyuvarddhanam ॥ 36॥
A hundred-year-old man should practice for as long as he lives. It is the pillar of the body that conquers death and enhances health and air.

pratyayo dRzyate vRddhe kiM punastaruNe jane॥ na coMkAro na mantropi naiva bIjaM na cAkSaram ॥ 37॥
Confidence is seen in the elderly what to speak of the young There is no chonkara, no mantra, no seed, no syllable.

अनाहतमनुच्चार्य्यं शब्दब्रह्म शिवं परम् ॥ ध्यायन्ते देवि सततं सुधिया यत्नतः प्रिये ॥ ३८ ॥
anAhatamanuccAryyaM zabdabrahma zivaM param ॥ dhyAyante devi satataM sudhiyA yatnataH priye ॥ 38 ॥
The unaffected and unpronounceable Brahman of sound is the Supreme Lord Shiva. O dear one, meditate on them constantly with intelligence and diligence.

तस्माच्छब्दा नव प्रोक्ताः प्राणविद्भिस्तु लक्षिताः ॥ तान्प्रवक्ष्यामि यत्नेन नादसिद्धिमनुक्रमात् ॥ ३९॥
tasmAcchabdA nava proktAH prANavidbhistu lakSitAH ॥ tAnpravakSyAmi yatnena nAdasiddhimanukramAt ॥ 39॥
Hence the Śabdas are ninefold as explained by those who know the science of breath. I shall explain them assiduously in the proper order according to the Siddhi of Nāda.

घोषं १ कांस्यं २ तथा शृंगं ३ घण्टां ४ वीणा ५ दिवंशजान् ६ ॥ दुन्दुभिं ७ शंखशब्दं ८ तु नवमं मेघगर्जितम् ९ ॥ ४० ॥
ghoSaM 1 kAMsyaM 2 tathA zRMgaM 3 ghaNTAM 4 vINA 5 divaMzajAn 6 ॥ dundubhiM 7 zaMkhazabdaM 8 tu navamaM meghagarjitam 9 ॥ 40 ॥
They are Ghoṣa (sound of the soft consonant), Kāṃsya(sound of bell metal), Śṛṅga (sound of horn), Ghaṇṭā (bell), Vīṇā (lute), Vaṃśaja (flute), Dundubhi (drum), Śaṅkha (conch) and Meghagarjita (the rumbling thunder).

नव शब्दान्परित्यज्य तुंकारं तु समभ्यसेत् ॥ ध्यायन्नेवं सदा योगी पुण्यैः पापैर्न लिप्यते ॥ ४१ ॥
nava zabdAnparityajya tuMkAraM tu samabhyaset ॥ dhyAyannevaM sadA yogI puNyaiH pApairna lipyate ॥ 41 ॥
After eschewing all these sounds, one shall practise Tuṃkāra? Meditating thus for ever the Yogin is not affected by either virtues or sins.

न शृणोति यदा शृण्वन्योगाभ्यासेन देविके ॥ म्रियतेभ्यसमानस्तु योगी तिष्ठेद्दिवानिशम् ॥ ४२ ॥
na zRNoti yadA zRNvanyogAbhyAsena devike ॥ mriyatebhyasamAnastu yogI tiSTheddivAnizam ॥ 42 ॥
O goddess, what others do not hear the Yogin hears by the practice of Yoga. While practising, if he dies, he may stay in that posture for days and nights.

तस्मादुत्पद्यते शब्दो मृ त्सप्तभिर्दिनैः ॥ स वै नवविधो देवि तं ब्रवीमि यथार्थतः ॥ ४३॥
tasmAdutpadyate zabdo mR tsaptabhirdinaiH ॥ sa vai navavidho devi taM bravImi yathArthataH ॥ 43॥
From him the sound of conquest of death rises up in seven days. O goddess, it is of nine varieties. I shall mention it factually.

prathamaM nadate ghoSamAtmazuddhikaraM param ॥ sarvavyAdhiharaM nAdaM vazyAkarSaNamuttamam ॥ 44 ॥
The first sound is Ghoṣa. It purifies the soul. It dispels sickness. It is excellent. It attracts and controls.

द्वितीयं नादते कांस्यस्तम्भयेत्प्राणिनां गतिम् ॥ विषभूतग्रहान्सर्वान्बध्नीयान्नात्र संशयः ॥ ४५ ॥
dvitIyaM nAdate kAMsyastambhayetprANinAM gatim ॥ viSabhUtagrahAnsarvAnbadhnIyAnnAtra saMzayaH ॥ 45 ॥
The second sound is Kāṃsya. It stops the movement of living beings. There is no doubt that it stops the effect of poison, evil spirits and evil planets.

तृतीयं नादते शृंगमभिचारि नियोजयेत् ॥ विद्विडुच्चाटने शत्रोर्मारणे च प्रयोजयेत्॥ ४६॥
tRtIyaM nAdate zRMgamabhicAri niyojayet ॥ vidviDuccATane zatrormAraNe ca prayojayet॥ 46॥
The third sound is Śṛṅga. It is employed in black magic for exorcizing enemies and killing them.

घंटानादं चतुर्थ तु वदते परमेश्वरः ॥ आकर्षस्सर्वदेवानां किं पुनर्मानुषा भुवि॥ ४७॥
ghaMTAnAdaM caturtha tu vadate paramezvaraH ॥ AkarSassarvadevAnAM kiM punarmAnuSA bhuvi॥ 47॥
The fourth is Ghaṇṭānāda, so says lord Śiva. It is one that attracts the gods even. What then of human beings on this earth?

यक्षगन्धर्वकन्याश्च तस्याकृष्टा ददंति हि ॥ यथेप्सितां महासिद्धिं योगिने कामतोऽपि वा ॥ ४८॥
yakSagandharvakanyAzca tasyAkRSTA dadaMti hi ॥ yathepsitAM mahAsiddhiM yogine kAmato'pi vA ॥ 48॥
Attracted by him the virgins of Yakṣas and Gandharvas give him great Siddhis as desired by him or out of their own accord.

वीणा तु पंचमो नादः श्रूयते योगिभिस्सदा॥ तस्मादुत्पद्यते देवि दूरादर्शनमेव हि ॥ ४९ ॥
vINA tu paMcamo nAdaH zrUyate yogibhissadA॥ tasmAdutpadyate devi dUrAdarzanameva hi ॥ 49 ॥
Vīṇā is the fifth sound. It is heard by Yogins always. O goddess, from it arises the power of vision from a great distance.

ध्यायतो वंशनादं तु सर्वतत्त्वं प्रजायते ॥ दुन्दुभिं ध्यायमानस्तु जरामृत्युविवर्जितः ॥ ५०॥
dhyAyato vaMzanAdaM tu sarvatattvaM prajAyate ॥ dundubhiM dhyAyamAnastu jarAmRtyuvivarjitaH ॥ 50॥
All principles are understood by one who meditates on Vaṃśa Nāda. One who meditates on Dundubhi is devoid of old age and death.

शंखशब्देन देवेशि कामरूपं प्रपद्यते ॥ योगिनो मेघनादेन न विपत्संगमो भवेत् ॥ ५१॥
zaMkhazabdena devezi kAmarUpaM prapadyate ॥ yogino meghanAdena na vipatsaMgamo bhavet ॥ 51॥
O goddess, through the conch sound he assumes any form as he wishes. By means of Megha Nāda the Yogin wards off all adversities.

यश्चैकमनसा नित्यं तुंकारं ब्रह्मरूपिणम् ॥ किमसाध्यं न तस्यापि यथामति वरानने ॥ ५२॥
yazcaikamanasA nityaM tuMkAraM brahmarUpiNam ॥ kimasAdhyaM na tasyApi yathAmati varAnane ॥ 52॥
And he who with one mind always chants the tunkara in the form of Brahman. What is impossible for him even as he thinks, O beautiful one?

सर्वज्ञस्सर्वदर्शी च कामरूपी व्रजत्यसौ ॥ न विकारैः प्रयुज्येत शिव एव न संशयः ॥ ५३ ॥
sarvajJassarvadarzI ca kAmarUpI vrajatyasau ॥ na vikAraiH prayujyeta ziva eva na saMzayaH ॥ 53 ॥
He who knows everything and sees everything goes about in the form of desire It is undoubtedly Shiva alone who should not be used by transformations.

etatte paramezAni zabdabrahmasvarUpakam ॥ navadhA sarvamAkhyAtaM kiM bhUyaH zrotumicchasi ॥ 54 ॥
O goddess, thus the form of Śabdabrahman with its nine aspects has been wholly narrated to you. What else do you wish to hear?
