उत्ते॒ शुष्मा॑सो अस्थू॒ रक्षो॑ भि॒न्दन्तो॑ अद्रिवः । नु॒दस्व॒ याः प॑रि॒स्पृधः॑
utte śuṣmāso asthū rakṣo bhindanto adrivaḥ nudasva yāḥ parispṛdhaḥ
From the eastern dawn the Ādri folk broke the bones of the protection-bearing; proclaim the rivalry they face.

अ॒या नि॑ज॒घ्निरोज॑सा रथसं॒गे धने॑ हि॒ते । स्तवा॒ अबि॑भ्युषा हृ॒दा
ayā nijaghnirojasā rathasaṃge dhane hite stavā abibhyuṣā hṛdā
This attacker, like death-bearing vigor in the chariot-company, is indeed helpful to wealth; you have filled my heart with might.

अस्य॑ व्र॒तानि॒ नाधृषे॒ पव॑मानस्य दू॒ढ्या॑ । रु॒ज यस्त्वा॑ पृत॒न्यति॑
asya vratāni nādhṛṣe pavamānasya dūḍhyā ruja yastvā pṛtanyati
He did not hold the vows of the purifying one, nor the milking of the Marut; who afflicts you afflicts the tribe.

तं हि॑न्वन्ति मद॒च्युतं॒ हरिं॑ न॒दीषु॑ वा॒जिन॑म् । इन्दु॒मिन्द्रा॑य मत्स॒रम्
taṃ hinvanti madacyutaṃ hariṃ nadīṣu vājinam indumindrāya matsaram
They strike him fallen, the intoxicated Hari, the slayer in the rivers; Indu‑Indra is my jealousy.
