क्रा॒णा शिशु॑र्म॒हीनां॑ हि॒न्वन्नृ॒तस्य॒ दीधि॑तिम् । विश्वा॒ परि॑ प्रि॒या भु॑व॒दध॑ द्वि॒ता
krāṇā śiśurmahīnāṃ hinvannṛtasya dīdhitim viśvā pari priyā bhuvadadha dvitā
The newborn sighs break the might of the weak; they ruin falsehood’s splendour. All things around are twice beloved and bright.

उप॑ त्रि॒तस्य॑ पा॒ष्यो॒३॒॑रभ॑क्त॒ यद्गुहा॑ प॒दम् । य॒ज्ञस्य॑ स॒प्त धाम॑भि॒रध॑ प्रि॒यम्
upa tritasya pāṣyo3rabhakta yadguhā padam yajñasya sapta dhāmabhiradha priyam
Around the threefold pasture the herdsman began to guard the cave’s foot; the seven abodes of sacrifice are dear to him.

त्रीणि॑ त्रि॒तस्य॒ धार॑या पृ॒ष्ठेष्वेर॑या र॒यिम् । मिमी॑ते अस्य॒ योज॑ना॒ वि सु॒क्रतुः॑
trīṇi tritasya dhārayā pṛṣṭheṣverayā rayim mimīte asya yojanā vi sukratuḥ
With three streams of the thrice-one he poured forth wealth upon the backs — thus is this arrangement of the benefactor Sukratu observed.

ज॒ज्ञा॒नं स॒प्त मा॒तरो॑ वे॒धाम॑शासत श्रि॒ये । अ॒यं ध्रु॒वो र॑यी॒णां चिके॑त॒ यत्
jajñānaṃ sapta mātaro vedhāmaśāsata śriye ayaṃ dhruvo rayīṇāṃ ciketa yat
The seven mothers proclaimed knowledge, observing the rites for prosperity; this is the steadfast wealth of men.

अ॒स्य व्र॒ते स॒जोष॑सो॒ विश्वे॑ दे॒वासो॑ अ॒द्रुहः॑ । स्पा॒र्हा भ॑वन्ति॒ रन्त॑यो जु॒षन्त॒ यत्
asya vrate sajoṣaso viśve devāso adruhaḥ spārhā bhavanti rantayo juṣanta yat
By his vow all the gods climbed with joyous accord; their longings became the hymns that bring delight.

यमी॒ गर्भ॑मृता॒वृधो॑ दृ॒शे चारु॒मजी॑जनन् । क॒विं मंहि॑ष्ठमध्व॒रे पु॑रु॒स्पृह॑म्
yamī garbhamṛtāvṛdho dṛśe cārumajījanan kaviṃ maṃhiṣṭhamadhvare puruspṛham
Yami, enclosing the cavern of life, beheld the fair-born one; she praised the poet who cherished desire for men.

स॒मी॒ची॒ने अ॒भि त्मना॑ य॒ह्वी ऋ॒तस्य॑ मा॒तरा॑ । त॒न्वा॒ना य॒ज्ञमा॑नु॒षग्यद॑ञ्ज॒ते
samīcīne abhi tmanā yahvī ṛtasya mātarā tanvānā yajñamānuṣagyadañjate
Near the meeting-place, the mother of Ṛta herself with intent stretched forth; she made the offerings fit for the sacrifice.

क्रत्वा॑ शु॒क्रेभि॑र॒क्षभि॑रृ॒णोरप॑ व्र॒जं दि॒वः । हि॒न्वन्नृ॒तस्य॒ दीधि॑तिं॒ प्राध्व॒रे
kratvā śukrebhirakṣabhirṛṇorapa vrajaṃ divaḥ hinvannṛtasya dīdhitiṃ prādhvare
Having made bright with rites, the heavens advanced, bearing away the debt of Untruth; they kindled the splendid light of lawlessness.
