त्वं नो॑ अग्ने॒ महो॑भिः पा॒हि विश्व॑स्या॒ अरा॑तेः । उ॒त द्वि॒षो मर्त्य॑स्य
tvaṃ no agne mahobhiḥ pāhi viśvasyā arāteḥ uta dviṣo martyasya
O Agni, protect us with great might from the hostile ones, the foes of the world. Remove the hatred of mortals.

न॒हि म॒न्युः पौरु॑षेय॒ ईशे॒ हि वः॑ प्रियजात । त्वमिद॑सि॒ क्षपा॑वान्
nahi manyuḥ pauruṣeya īśe hi vaḥ priyajāta tvamidasi kṣapāvān
Not Manyu the mortal lord, but the beloved chief rules you. You are the forgiving, the bearer of well‑being.

स नो॒ विश्वे॑भिर्दे॒वेभि॒रूर्जो॑ नपा॒द्भद्र॑शोचे । र॒यिं दे॑हि वि॒श्ववा॑रम्
sa no viśvebhirdevebhirūrjo napādbhadraśoce rayiṃ dehi viśvavāram
Grant us, bright one, a course favorable as all gods and men, a pasture for the people. Bestow wealth and auspiciousness.

न तम॑ग्ने॒ अरा॑तयो॒ मर्तं॑ युवन्त रा॒यः । यं त्राय॑से दा॒श्वांस॑म्
na tamagne arātayo martaṃ yuvanta rāyaḥ yaṃ trāyase dāśvāṃsam
Not those hostile to Agni are young kings who strike the slain. You save the ten‑troops (people) who seek you.

यं त्वं वि॑प्र मे॒धसा॑ता॒वग्ने॑ हि॒नोषि॒ धना॑य । स तवो॒ती गोषु॒ गन्ता॑
yaṃ tvaṃ vipra medhasātāvagne hinoṣi dhanāya sa tavotī goṣu gantā
Whom you honor with your wise gifts, O Agni, he goes to the cattle. He became the possessor of your wealth among the cows.

त्वं र॒यिं पु॑रु॒वीर॒मग्ने॑ दा॒शुषे॒ मर्ता॑य । प्र णो॑ नय॒ वस्यो॒ अच्छ॑
tvaṃ rayiṃ puruvīramagne dāśuṣe martāya pra ṇo naya vasyo accha
You, strongest of men, give the course for men and the tenfold riches for mortals. Lead our prosperity; make it established.

उ॒रु॒ष्या णो॒ मा परा॑ दा अघाय॒ते जा॑तवेदः । दु॒रा॒ध्ये॒३॒॑ मर्ता॑य
uruṣyā ṇo mā parā dā aghāyate jātavedaḥ durādhye3 martāya
Do not set far from us, born of Jatavedas, the protector who causes no sin. For those mortal ones hard to reach, be a strong refuge.

अग्ने॒ माकि॑ष्टे दे॒वस्य॑ रा॒तिमदे॑वो युयोत । त्वमी॑शिषे॒ वसू॑नाम्
agne mākiṣṭe devasya rātimadevo yuyota tvamīśiṣe vasūnām
Agni, you kindle delight of the gods; you are leader of treasures. You are ruler of the dwellings of wealth.

स नो॒ वस्व॒ उप॑ मा॒स्यूर्जो॑ नपा॒न्माहि॑नस्य । सखे॑ वसो जरि॒तृभ्यः॑
sa no vasva upa māsyūrjo napānmāhinasya sakhe vaso jaritṛbhyaḥ
Grant us wealth, O Vasus’ friend, at the month’s full—strong in the towns. Be a companion to the houseless worshipers.

अच्छा॑ नः शी॒रशो॑चिषं॒ गिरो॑ यन्तु दर्श॒तम् । अच्छा॑ य॒ज्ञासो॒ नम॑सा पुरू॒वसुं॑ पुरुप्रश॒स्तमू॒तये॑
acchā naḥ śīraśociṣaṃ giro yantu darśatam acchā yajñāso namasā purūvasuṃ purupraśastamūtaye
May noble words and chiefs come to our head; may noble rites and reverence reach the famous foremost of men.

अ॒ग्निं सू॒नुं सह॑सो जा॒तवे॑दसं दा॒नाय॒ वार्या॑णाम् । द्वि॒ता यो भूद॒मृतो॒ मर्त्ये॒ष्वा होता॑ म॒न्द्रत॑मो वि॒शि
agniṃ sūnuṃ sahaso jātavedasaṃ dānāya vāryāṇām dvitā yo bhūdamṛto martyeṣvā hotā mandratamo viśi
Listen, Agni of mighty strength, for the gift to Jatavedas, to the wardens of offerings. Dual is what became immortal among mortals; may the humble priest be praised.

अ॒ग्निं वो॑ देवय॒ज्यया॒ग्निं प्र॑य॒त्य॑ध्व॒रे । अ॒ग्निं धी॒षु प्र॑थ॒मम॒ग्निमर्व॑त्य॒ग्निं क्षैत्रा॑य॒ साध॑से
agniṃ vo devayajyayāgniṃ prayatyadhvare agniṃ dhīṣu prathamamagnimarvatyagniṃ kṣaitrāya sādhase
Invoke Agni with sacrificial worship; proclaim Agni on the path. First seek Agni in counsel, Agni for the field, you will accomplish rites.

अ॒ग्निरि॒षां स॒ख्ये द॑दातु न॒ ईशे॒ यो वार्या॑णाम् । अ॒ग्निं तो॒के तन॑ये॒ शश्व॑दीमहे॒ वसुं॒ सन्तं॑ तनू॒पाम्
agniriṣāṃ sakhye dadātu na īśe yo vāryāṇām agniṃ toke tanaye śaśvadīmahe vasuṃ santaṃ tanūpām
May Agni grant us friendship in rites, O bearer of offerings. Agni, to the offspring of the clan give wealth, bestow the abundant, abiding treasure like a fair‑bodied gift.

अ॒ग्निमी॑ळि॒ष्वाव॑से॒ गाथा॑भिः शी॒रशो॑चिषम् । अ॒ग्निं रा॒ये पु॑रुमीळ्ह श्रु॒तं नरो॒ऽग्निं सु॑दी॒तये॑ छ॒र्दिः
agnimīḷiṣvāvase gāthābhiḥ śīraśociṣam agniṃ rāye purumīḷha śrutaṃ naro'gniṃ sudītaye chardiḥ
Agni, assemble with songs the chiefs who bring noble talk. Agni, call the people together, the heard, that men may sing clearly for the praised.

अ॒ग्निं द्वेषो॒ योत॒वै नो॑ गृणीमस्य॒ग्निं शं योश्च॒ दात॑वे । विश्वा॑सु वि॒क्ष्व॑वि॒तेव॒ हव्यो॒ भुव॒द्वस्तु॑रृषू॒णाम्
agniṃ dveṣo yotavai no gṛṇīmasyagniṃ śaṃ yośca dātave viśvāsu vikṣvaviteva havyo bhuvadvasturṛṣūṇām
Agni, avoid enmity; let none oppose our fire nor the giver who is for the gift. May all riches be widely bestowed—offerings for the choicest bulls and kine.
