यथा॒ मनौ॒ विव॑स्वति॒ सोमं॑ श॒क्रापि॑बः सु॒तम् । यथा॑ त्रि॒ते छन्द॑ इन्द्र॒ जुजो॑षस्या॒यौ मा॑दयसे॒ सचा॑
yathā manau vivasvati somaṃ śakrāpibaḥ sutam yathā trite chanda indra jujoṣasyāyau mādayase sacā
As the mind exalts the Soma, as Śakra drinks the draught, as the hymn brightens, so rouse and gladden us together.

पृष॑ध्रे॒ मेध्ये॑ मात॒रिश्व॒नीन्द्र॑ सुवा॒ने अम॑न्दथाः । यथा॒ सोमं॒ दश॑शिप्रे॒ दशो॑ण्ये॒ स्यूम॑रश्मा॒वृजू॑नसि
pṛṣadhre medhye mātariśvanīndra suvāne amandathāḥ yathā somaṃ daśaśipre daśoṇye syūmaraśmāvṛjūnasi
For mine are the refreshment and the maternal steeds of Indra, the generous at the banquet. As thou didst spread the Soma tenfold, like rays, make them increase.

य उ॒क्था केव॑ला द॒धे यः सोमं॑ धृषि॒तापि॑बत् । यस्मै॒ विष्णु॒स्त्रीणि॑ प॒दा वि॑चक्र॒म उप॑ मि॒त्रस्य॒ धर्म॑भिः
ya ukthā kevalā dadhe yaḥ somaṃ dhṛṣitāpibat yasmai viṣṇustrīṇi padā vicakrama upa mitrasya dharmabhiḥ
He who offered only hymns, who upheld the Soma and bore it, to him Vishnu traversed three steps, approaching the law of Mitra by his works.

यस्य॒ त्वमि॑न्द्र॒ स्तोमे॑षु चा॒कनो॒ वाजे॑ वाजिञ्छतक्रतो । तं त्वा॑ व॒यं सु॒दुघा॑मिव गो॒दुहो॑ जुहू॒मसि॑ श्रव॒स्यवः॑
yasya tvamindra stomeṣu cākano vāje vājiñchatakrato taṃ tvā vayaṃ sudughāmiva goduho juhūmasi śravasyavaḥ
Thy voice in the hymns, O Indra, waxed strong in the energized sacrifice and victorious might. We invoke thee like a well-milked cow, offering the sacred oblation for hearing.

यो नो॑ दा॒ता स नः॑ पि॒ता म॒हाँ उ॒ग्र ई॑शान॒कृत् । अया॑मन्नु॒ग्रो म॒घवा॑ पुरू॒वसु॒र्गोरश्व॑स्य॒ प्र दा॑तु नः
yo no dātā sa naḥ pitā mahām̐ ugra īśānakṛt ayāmannugro maghavā purūvasurgoraśvasya pra dātu naḥ
He who gave, he is our father, mighty, fierce, the ruler. This day may the generous, ancient giver grant us steeds and cows and horses.

यस्मै॒ त्वं व॑सो दा॒नाय॒ मंह॑से॒ स रा॒यस्पोष॑मिन्वति । व॒सू॒यवो॒ वसु॑पतिं श॒तक्र॑तुं॒ स्तोमै॒रिन्द्रं॑ हवामहे
yasmai tvaṃ vaso dānāya maṃhase sa rāyaspoṣaminvati vasūyavo vasupatiṃ śatakratuṃ stomairindraṃ havāmahe
To him for the gift of wealth thou art propitious; he nourishes the people and bestows royal prosperity. We, desirous of treasure, invoke Indra with hymns and offer the hundred-rited prayer.

क॒दा च॒न प्र यु॑च्छस्यु॒भे नि पा॑सि॒ जन्म॑नी । तुरी॑यादित्य॒ हव॑नं त इन्द्रि॒यमा त॑स्थाव॒मृतं॑ दि॒वि
kadā cana pra yucchasyubhe ni pāsi janmanī turīyāditya havanaṃ ta indriyamā tasthāvamṛtaṃ divi
When at birth ye two were joined, like the third sun the sacrifice stood: Indra established the sensory powers; there he set immortal draughts in heaven.

यस्मै॒ त्वं म॑घवन्निन्द्र गिर्वणः॒ शिक्षो॒ शिक्ष॑सि दा॒शुषे॑ । अ॒स्माकं॒ गिर॑ उ॒त सु॑ष्टु॒तिं व॑सो कण्व॒वच्छृ॑णुधी॒ हव॑म्
yasmai tvaṃ maghavannindra girvaṇaḥ śikṣo śikṣasi dāśuṣe asmākaṃ gira uta suṣṭutiṃ vaso kaṇvavacchṛṇudhī havam
To him, O Indra, thou gavest glorious praise and training for hosts. Hear our wealthy song, generous Kanva; attend our sacred rite.

अस्ता॑वि॒ मन्म॑ पू॒र्व्यं ब्रह्मेन्द्रा॑य वोचत । पू॒र्वीरृ॒तस्य॑ बृह॒तीर॑नूषत स्तो॒तुर्मे॒धा अ॑सृक्षत
astāvi manma pūrvyaṃ brahmendrāya vocata pūrvīrṛtasya bṛhatīranūṣata stoturmedhā asṛkṣata
I approached the ancient Brahman, and he spoke to Indra: the elder of the ancient law recited praise; wisdom brought forth the hymn.

समिन्द्रो॒ रायो॑ बृह॒तीर॑धूनुत॒ सं क्षो॒णी समु॒ सूर्य॑म् । सं शु॒क्रासः॒ शुच॑यः॒ सं गवा॑शिरः॒ सोमा॒ इन्द्र॑ममन्दिषुः
samindro rāyo bṛhatīradhūnuta saṃ kṣoṇī samu sūryam saṃ śukrāsaḥ śucayaḥ saṃ gavāśiraḥ somā indramamandiṣuḥ
Indra, the rivers, the mighty streams praised, the sun together; together shone the bright ones, the pure ones, the cows’ foreheads—Soma invoked Indra with bliss.
