एन्द्र॑ याहि॒ हरि॑भि॒रुप॒ कण्व॑स्य सुष्टु॒तिम् । दि॒वो अ॒मुष्य॒ शास॑तो॒ दिवं॑ य॒य दि॑वावसो
endra yāhi haribhirupa kaṇvasya suṣṭutim divo amuṣya śāsato divaṃ yaya divāvaso
Indra, go with the mighty praises of Kanva here. From heaven he rules, he went to the heaven of the gods.

ā tvā grāvā vadanniha somī ghoṣeṇa yacchatu divo amuṣya śāsato divaṃ yaya divāvaso
Speak for us, Kanva, here; let Soma be given by the cry. From heaven he rules, he went to the heaven of the gods.

atrā vi nemireṣāmurāṃ na dhūnute vṛkaḥ divo amuṣya śāsato divaṃ yaya divāvaso
Here the wolf does not burn these ordinances. From heaven he rules, he went to the heaven of the gods.

ā tvā kaṇvā ihāvase havante vājasātaye divo amuṣya śāsato divaṃ yaya divāvaso
Kanvas here perform the sacrifice for your presence with sacrifice and strength. From heaven he rules, he went to the heaven of the gods.

dadhāmi te sutānāṃ vṛṣṇe na pūrvapāyyam divo amuṣya śāsato divaṃ yaya divāvaso
I give to you, O sons, plentifully, not from former gains; from the sovereign of heaven you went to the abode of days.

smatpuraṃdhirna ā gahi viśvatodhīrna ūtaye divo amuṣya śāsato divaṃ yaya divāvaso
May the straight-footed one not seize the wide-pathed one from below; from the sovereign of heaven you went to the abode of days.

May the swift-released one, like a hawk from the wing, be carried away; from the sovereign of heaven you went to the abode of days.

Bring the cows, the swift mares, a thousand strong and valiant; from the sovereign of heaven you went to the abode of days.

May thousands of burdens for us be borne, and hundreds too; from the sovereign of heaven you went to the abode of days.

What Indra himself gave, a thousand splendid treasures of radiance—an excellent steed and cattle.

Who with straight winds, with pleasant laughter, breaks forth in splendour like the sun.

पारा॑वतस्य रा॒तिषु॑ द्र॒वच्च॑क्रेष्वा॒शुषु॑ । तिष्ठं॒ वन॑स्य॒ मध्य॒ आ
pārāvatasya rātiṣu dravaccakreṣvāśuṣu tiṣṭhaṃ vanasya madhya ā
Beyond the mountain at nights, in flowing drops and in the dry places, I stand in the midst of the forest.
