ब॒भ्रुरेको॒ विषु॑णः सू॒नरो॒ युवा॒ञ्ज्य॑ङ्क्ते हिर॒ण्यय॑म्
babhrureko viṣuṇaḥ sūnaro yuvāñjyaṅkte hiraṇyayam
One tawny, keen in might, the swift descendant lifts up gold-bright offerings.

One bore a single womb, shining among the gods, the radiant intellect within the gods.

One possessed mastery of spellcraft, bearing a hand that holds the enchanted staff, steadfast within the gods.

वज्र॒मेको॑ बिभर्ति॒ हस्त॒ आहि॑तं॒ तेन॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ जिघ्नते
vajrameko bibharti hasta āhitaṃ tena vṛtrāṇi jighnate
One bore the thunderbolt in hand, having struck, by that he slays the Vṛtra-foes.

ति॒ग्ममेको॑ बिभर्ति॒ हस्त॒ आयु॑धं॒ शुचि॑रु॒ग्रो जला॑षभेषजः
tigmameko bibharti hasta āyudhaṃ śucirugro jalāṣabheṣajaḥ
One bore the sharp weapon in hand, the pure and foremost cure, the bull of waters as remedy.

प॒थ एकः॑ पीपाय॒ तस्क॑रो यथाँ ए॒ष वे॑द निधी॒नाम्
patha ekaḥ pīpāya taskaro yathām̐ eṣa veda nidhīnām
A single thief stole the sacred peepal tree as if it were the treasure of the gods.

Three and one the oxen moved in their circuit where the gods rejoice.

They two wandered apart; together they performed the rite, dwelling in procession.

अर्च॑न्त॒ एके॒ महि॒ साम॑ मन्वत॒ तेन॒ सूर्य॑मरोचयन्
arcanta eke mahi sāma manvata tena sūryamarocayan
Alone they worshipped the great Saṃgā manvantara; thus he made the sun shine.
