प्र व॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ माद॑नं॒ हर्य॑श्वाय गायत । सखा॑यः सोम॒पाव्ने॑
pra va indrāya mādanaṃ haryaśvāya gāyata sakhāyaḥ somapāvne
Bring forth the beloved Indra, the charioteer of the dear swift-steed; companions who purify Soma.

शंसेदु॒क्थं सु॒दान॑व उ॒त द्यु॒क्षं यथा॒ नरः॑ । च॒कृ॒मा स॒त्यरा॑धसे
śaṃsedukthaṃ sudānava uta dyukṣaṃ yathā naraḥ cakṛmā satyarādhase
He sung the well-praised hymn, drove off the hostile demon as a man drives away the enemy; he established the truth and worshipped it.

त्वं न॑ इन्द्र वाज॒युस्त्वं ग॒व्युः श॑तक्रतो । त्वं हि॑रण्य॒युर्व॑सो
tvaṃ na indra vājayustvaṃ gavyuḥ śatakrato tvaṃ hiraṇyayurvaso
You are Indra of sacrifice, you are the strong-armed; you are the giver of cattle, O hundred-minded one. You possess the golden robe.

vayamindra tvāyavo'bhi pra ṇonumo vṛṣan viddhī tva1sya no vaso
We, O Indra, bow to you and humbly address you, the mighty steerer. Make known to us your abode of wealth.

मा नो॑ नि॒दे च॒ वक्त॑वे॒ऽर्यो र॑न्धी॒ररा॑व्णे । त्वे अपि॒ क्रतु॒र्मम॑
mā no nide ca vaktave'ryo randhīrarāvṇe tve api kraturmama
Do not sleep in speech, O noble one; O snarer of foes and Ravana-like: your mighty ritual is also mine.

You are the foremost armour, the city-attacker and slayer of Vrtra. By you I speak forth, O youth.

mahām̐ utāsi yasya te'nu svadhāvarī sahaḥ mamnāte indra rodasī
Great is the might of him whose companion is the libation-pourer; Indra, the bringer of abundant gifts, has rejoiced for me.

taṃ tvā marutvatī pari bhuvadvāṇī sayāvarī nakṣamāṇā saha dyubhiḥ
The Maruts round about praised you with voice like a flood of mares; together with the moving heavens they waxed and shone.

ऊ॒र्ध्वास॒स्त्वान्विन्द॑वो॒ भुव॑न्द॒स्ममुप॒ द्यवि॑ । सं ते॑ नमन्त कृ॒ष्टयः॑
ūrdhvāsastvānvindavo bhuvandasmamupa dyavi saṃ te namanta kṛṣṭayaḥ
The heavens above, you to be praised; the bright earth, the skies, we bring thee hither. The strong ones salute you, O chosen ones.

प्र वो॑ म॒हे म॑हि॒वृधे॑ भरध्वं॒ प्रचे॑तसे॒ प्र सु॑म॒तिं कृ॑णुध्वम् । विशः॑ पू॒र्वीः प्र च॑रा चर्षणि॒प्राः
pra vo mahe mahivṛdhe bharadhvaṃ pracetase pra sumatiṃ kṛṇudhvam viśaḥ pūrvīḥ pra carā carṣaṇiprāḥ
Bring forth, O great ones, the mighty growth, bear up the burden, think well and make the mind strong. Spread forward the foremost paths, the ancient tracks of the ploughing host.

उ॒रु॒व्यच॑से म॒हिने॑ सुवृ॒क्तिमिन्द्रा॑य॒ ब्रह्म॑ जनयन्त॒ विप्राः॑ । तस्य॑ व्र॒तानि॒ न मि॑नन्ति॒ धीराः॑
uruvyacase mahine suvṛktimindrāya brahma janayanta viprāḥ tasya vratāni na minanti dhīrāḥ
With wide-spoken praise they, the brahmans, generate great ordinance for Indra; the resolute do not break his vows.

इन्द्रं॒ वाणी॒रनु॑त्तमन्युमे॒व स॒त्रा राजा॑नं दधिरे॒ सह॑ध्यै । हर्य॑श्वाय बर्हया॒ समा॒पीन्
indraṃ vāṇīranuttamanyumeva satrā rājānaṃ dadhire sahadhyai haryaśvāya barhayā samāpīn
They set Indra’s most excellent words, the king of hosts, with the hymn, placing them together for Haryaśva and vinced with the sacrifice.
