श्रु॒धी न॑ इन्द्र॒ ह्वया॑मसि त्वा म॒हो वाज॑स्य सा॒तौ वा॑वृषा॒णाः । सं यद्विशोऽय॑न्त॒ शूर॑साता उ॒ग्रं नोऽवः॒ पार्ये॒ अह॑न्दाः
śrudhī na indra hvayāmasi tvā maho vājasya sātau vāvṛṣāṇāḥ saṃ yadviśo'yanta śūrasātā ugraṃ no'vaḥ pārye ahandāḥ
Hear me, O Indra; with the roar I call you—mighty in wealth, like cow-herds the active ones. All the heroes came forth for us, fierce were our foes overcome.

त्वां वा॒जी ह॑वते वाजिने॒यो म॒हो वाज॑स्य॒ गध्य॑स्य सा॒तौ । त्वां वृ॒त्रेष्वि॑न्द्र॒ सत्प॑तिं॒ तरु॑त्रं॒ त्वां च॑ष्टे मुष्टि॒हा गोषु॒ युध्य॑न्
tvāṃ vājī havate vājineyo maho vājasya gadhyasya sātau tvāṃ vṛtreṣvindra satpatiṃ tarutraṃ tvāṃ caṣṭe muṣṭihā goṣu yudhyan
The giver sings of you, O wealthy one; mighty in the wealth’s glory you stand in the fold. You are set against Vṛtra; you, strong, I praise among cattle fighting with fists.

त्वं क॒विं चो॑दयो॒ऽर्कसा॑तौ॒ त्वं कुत्सा॑य॒ शुष्णं॑ दा॒शुषे॑ वर्क् । त्वं शिरो॑ अम॒र्मणः॒ परा॑हन्नतिथि॒ग्वाय॒ शंस्यं॑ करि॒ष्यन्
tvaṃ kaviṃ codayo'rkasātau tvaṃ kutsāya śuṣṇaṃ dāśuṣe vark tvaṃ śiro amarmaṇaḥ parāhannatithigvāya śaṃsyaṃ kariṣyan
You stirred the sage like a seer at the dawn; you, wounded, destroyed the foe. You struck the head of the foe; O Indra, the singer will praise you in assembly with the hymn.

त्वं रथं॒ प्र भ॑रो यो॒धमृ॒ष्वमावो॒ युध्य॑न्तं वृष॒भं दश॑द्युम् । त्वं तुग्रं॑ वेत॒सवे॒ सचा॑ह॒न्त्वं तुजिं॑ गृ॒णन्त॑मिन्द्र तूतोः
tvaṃ rathaṃ pra bharo yodhamṛṣvamāvo yudhyantaṃ vṛṣabhaṃ daśadyum tvaṃ tugraṃ vetasave sacāhantvaṃ tujiṃ gṛṇantamindra tūtoḥ
You filled the chariot, bearing the warrior’s cries; you made the bull fight, granting brilliance. You, vigorous among the Vetas, sing praises; you Indra accept the acclaim of the two protectors.

त्वं तदु॒क्थमि॑न्द्र ब॒र्हणा॑ कः॒ प्र यच्छ॒ता स॒हस्रा॑ शूर॒ दर्षि॑ । अव॑ गि॒रेर्दासं॒ शम्ब॑रं ह॒न्प्रावो॒ दिवो॑दासं चि॒त्राभि॑रू॒ती
tvaṃ tadukthamindra barhaṇā kaḥ pra yacchatā sahasrā śūra darṣi ava girerdāsaṃ śambaraṃ hanprāvo divodāsaṃ citrābhirūtī
You, Indra, recited that hymn of praise; who counts the thousand brave ones you saw? From the mountain came the slave’s fall, the smashing of the flood; the bright heavens were filled with glory.

त्वं श्र॒द्धाभि॑र्मन्दसा॒नः सोमै॑र्द॒भीत॑ये॒ चुमु॑रिमिन्द्र सिष्वप् । त्वं र॒जिं पिठी॑नसे दश॒स्यन्ष॒ष्टिं स॒हस्रा॒ शच्या॒ सचा॑हन्
tvaṃ śraddhābhirmandasānaḥ somairdabhītaye cumurimindra siṣvap tvaṃ rajiṃ piṭhīnase daśasyanṣaṣṭiṃ sahasrā śacyā sacāhan
You, with strong faith, honored by libations and Soma, press on for the fearful ones. You rule the ten, the sixty, a thousand with allied hosts.

अ॒हं च॒न तत्सू॒रिभि॑रानश्यां॒ तव॒ ज्याय॑ इन्द्र सु॒म्नमोजः॑ । त्वया॒ यत्स्तव॑न्ते सधवीर वी॒रास्त्रि॒वरू॑थेन॒ नहु॑षा शविष्ठ
ahaṃ cana tatsūribhirānaśyāṃ tava jyāya indra sumnamojaḥ tvayā yatstavante sadhavīra vīrāstrivarūthena nahuṣā śaviṣṭha
I, by those fierce ones, will be protected in your glory; O Indra, your praise is greater—heroes, with sound of mighty chariots, are strengthened like Nahusha’s sacred meat.

व॒यं ते॑ अ॒स्यामि॑न्द्र द्यु॒म्नहू॑तौ॒ सखा॑यः स्याम महिन॒ प्रेष्ठाः॑ । प्रात॑र्दनिः क्षत्र॒श्रीर॑स्तु॒ श्रेष्ठो॑ घ॒ने वृ॒त्राणां॑ स॒नये॒ धना॑नाम्
vayaṃ te asyāmindra dyumnahūtau sakhāyaḥ syāma mahina preṣṭhāḥ prātardaniḥ kṣatraśrīrastu śreṣṭho ghane vṛtrāṇāṃ sanaye dhanānām
We are thy comrades, Indra, when the skies are invoked; may we be foremost friends. May dawn’s splendour grant regal fame, O mighty slayer of Vṛtras, giver of wealth.
