त्वं क॒विं चो॑दयो॒ऽर्कसा॑तौ॒ त्वं कुत्सा॑य॒ शुष्णं॑ दा॒शुषे॑ वर्क् । त्वं शिरो॑ अम॒र्मणः॒ परा॑हन्नतिथि॒ग्वाय॒ शंस्यं॑ करि॒ष्यन्
tvaṃ kaviṃ codayo'rkasātau tvaṃ kutsāya śuṣṇaṃ dāśuṣe vark tvaṃ śiro amarmaṇaḥ parāhannatithigvāya śaṃsyaṃ kariṣyan
You stirred the sage like a seer at the dawn; you, wounded, destroyed the foe. You struck the head of the foe; O Indra, the singer will praise you in assembly with the hymn.
You have animated the sage with (the hope of) obtaining food; you have cut to pieces Śuṣṇa for Kutsa, the donor of the oblation; you have struck off the head (of Śambara), imagining himself invulnerable, intending to give plural asure to Atithigvan.
Thou didst impel the sage to win the daylight, didst ruin Susna for the pious Kutsa. The invulnerable demon's head thou clavest when thou wouldst win the praise of Atithigva.
