यस्ते॒ साधि॒ष्ठोऽव॑स॒ इन्द्र॒ क्रतु॒ष्टमा भ॑र । अ॒स्मभ्यं॑ चर्षणी॒सहं॒ सस्निं॒ वाजे॑षु दु॒ष्टर॑म्
yaste sādhiṣṭho'vasa indra kratuṣṭamā bhara asmabhyaṃ carṣaṇīsahaṃ sasniṃ vājeṣu duṣṭaram
He who established you a dwelling—Indra, bearer of the eighth power—holds burden. From us accept compassionate gifts; I am strong among the sacred prizes in costly steeds.

यदि॑न्द्र ते॒ चत॑स्रो॒ यच्छू॑र॒ सन्ति॑ ति॒स्रः । यद्वा॒ पञ्च॑ क्षिती॒नामव॒स्तत्सु न॒ आ भ॑र
yadindra te catasro yacchūra santi tisraḥ yadvā pañca kṣitīnāmavastatsu na ā bhara
If four of yours are swords, then three; if five of the worlds were there, they would not be borne here.

आ तेऽवो॒ वरे॑ण्यं॒ वृष॑न्तमस्य हूमहे । वृष॑जूति॒र्हि ज॑ज्ञि॒ष आ॒भूभि॑रिन्द्र तु॒र्वणिः॑
ā te'vo vareṇyaṃ vṛṣantamasya hūmahe vṛṣajūtirhi jajñiṣa ābhūbhirindra turvaṇiḥ
We call you the excellent bull, the abundant one; verily the sacrificer knows you—Indra is the lord of riches.

वृषा॒ ह्यसि॒ राध॑से जज्ञि॒षे वृष्णि॑ ते॒ शवः॑ । स्वक्ष॑त्रं ते धृ॒षन्मनः॑ सत्रा॒हमि॑न्द्र॒ पौंस्य॑म्
vṛṣā hyasi rādhase jajñiṣe vṛṣṇi te śavaḥ svakṣatraṃ te dhṛṣanmanaḥ satrāhamindra pauṃsyam
You are the bull in gladdening pasture, known as lord of strength; your slaughtered beast is yours. I, bold in my realm, uphold your own weapon and proclaim the feast for Indra’s bounty.

त्वं तमि॑न्द्र॒ मर्त्य॑ममित्र॒यन्त॑मद्रिवः । स॒र्व॒र॒था श॑तक्रतो॒ नि या॑हि शवसस्पते
tvaṃ tamindra martyamamitrayantamadrivaḥ sarvarathā śatakrato ni yāhi śavasaspate
You, O Indra, among mortals, friend-bringing, mountain-like. All-possessing, hundred-armed, come hither with the slain and the lord of the sacrificial hosts.

त्वामिद्वृ॑त्रहन्तम॒ जना॑सो वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषः । उ॒ग्रं पू॒र्वीषु॑ पू॒र्व्यं हव॑न्ते॒ वाज॑सातये
tvāmidvṛtrahantama janāso vṛktabarhiṣaḥ ugraṃ pūrvīṣu pūrvyaṃ havante vājasātaye
We proclaim you slayer of Vritra, celebrated by peoples with libations. Fierce in earlier rites, they offered ancient hymns for the might of strength.

अ॒स्माक॑मिन्द्र दु॒ष्टरं॑ पुरो॒यावा॑नमा॒जिषु॑ । स॒यावा॑नं॒ धने॑धने वाज॒यन्त॑मवा॒ रथ॑म्
asmākamindra duṣṭaraṃ puroyāvānamājiṣu sayāvānaṃ dhanedhane vājayantamavā ratham
For us Indra broke the hostile fortresses and the stern enclosures; he opened wide the strongholds and made the chariot wealth manifest.

अ॒स्माक॑मि॒न्द्रेहि॑ नो॒ रथ॑मवा॒ पुरं॑ध्या । व॒यं श॑विष्ठ॒ वार्यं॑ दि॒वि श्रवो॑ दधीमहि दि॒वि स्तोमं॑ मनामहे
asmākamindrehi no rathamavā puraṃdhyā vayaṃ śaviṣṭha vāryaṃ divi śravo dadhīmahi divi stomaṃ manāmahe
May Indra here grant us a chariot and a city to enter. We will make the most splendid hymn in the heavens; we will establish fame on high and cherish the song in the sky.
